Weekly Recap (22 Jan 10)

New stuff hitting the web this week includes:

  • a new poster for Kick Ass starring Mark Strong, Nicolas Cage, Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. High school student Dave Lizewski decides to become a super-hero. Due for release April 2nd UK/ March 12th (premiere) then April 16th US.
  • new picture from Inception which is directed by Christopher Nolan and stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Ken Watanabe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page and Tom Hardy. Due for release July 16th UK/ US.
  • a red band and a green band trailer for MacGruber which is based on Will Forte's bumbling secret agent. It's due for release April 23rd UK/ April 16th US.
  • an Avatar featurette.
  • new pictures from Alice In Wonderland that offer a glimpse into the digital creation of film. It's due for release March 5th UK/ US.
  • teaser trailer for thriller Buried starring Ryan Reynolds, Robert Paterson,Stephen Tobolowsky and Samantha Mathis. After an attack by a group of Iraqis a U.S. contractor wakes to find himself buried alive inside a coffin. Set to premiere at this year's Sundance film festival.
  • a red band trailer for the comdey Hot Tub Time Machine starring John Cusack, Kate Walsh, Lizzy Caplan and Crispin Glover. It's set to hit cinemas later this year in the UK/ March 19th US.
  • first clip from Four Lions the film debut from Brass Eye's Chris Morris. It's set to premiere at the Sundance film festival on Saturday.
  • a trailer for comedy Diary of a Wimpy Kid starring Chloe Moretz, Steve Zahn, Rachel Harris, Alex Ferris, Zachary Gordon and Devon Bostick. An adaptation of Jeff Kinney's illustrated novel. Due for release later this year in the UK/ April 2nd US.
  • a trailer for thriller The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Due for release March 12th UK.
