1 District 9: SF dir. Neill Blomkamp starring: Jason Cope, Kenneth Nkosi, Sharlto Copley, Mandla Gaduka, Devlin Brown, William Allen Young, David James, Vanessa Haywood Verdict: While I enjoyed this at the cinema not sure I would watch it again. However watch it again over the weekend and it does stand up to a second viewing. Definitely worth a look if you haven’t seen it.

Wrong Turn 3:H dir. Tamer Hassan, Tom Frederic, Gil Kolirin, Borislav Illiev, Janet Montgomery, Tom McKay Verdict: First two films weren't great but okay. This one doesn't even reach that mark.

2 The Hurt Locker:W dir. Kathryn Bigelow starring: Evangeline Lilly, Ralph Fiennes, Anthony Mackie, Guy Pearce, David Morse, Jeremy Renner, Brian Geraghty, Christain Camargo Verdict: It’s been described as one of the best war movies in recent years so high hopes for this.

Smokin’ Aces 2 – Assasins’ Ball:A dir. P J Pesce starring: Clayne Crawford, Autumn Reeser, Tom Berenger, Tommy Flanagan, Maury Sterling, Martha Higareda, Christopher Michael Holley Verdict: Sequel to 2006 actioner Smokin’ Aces but not quite as good.

3 500 Days Of Summer:D dir. Marc Webb starring: Zooey Deschanel, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Clarck Gregg, Kelly Minka, Matthew Gray-Gubler, Rachel Boston, Geoffrey Arend, Chloe Grace Moretz Verdict: A rom com with a difference.

The Invention Of Lying:C dir. Matthew Robinson starirng: Jennifer Garner, Tina Fey, Rob Lowe, Christopher Guest, Jeffrey Tambor, Jonah Hill, John Hodgman Verdict: Not as funny as I had hoped.

4 Mesrine – Parts 1 & 2:D dir. Jean-Francois Richet starring: Roy Dupuis, Vincent Cassel, Gilles Lellouche, Florence Thomassin, Elena Anaya, Gerard Depardieu, Michael Duchaussoy, Cecile De France, Myriam Boyer Verdict: Don’t know much about this one other than it has generally been well received.

Gamer:SF dir. Mark Neveldine starring: Logan Lerman, Alison Lohman, Kyra Sedgwick, Ludacris, Michael C Hall, Amber Valletta, Gerard Butler Verdict: Not sure about this one. Adrenaline packed thriller for fans of Crank etc.

5 The Soloist:D dir. Joe Wright starring: Jamie Foxx, Robert Downey Jr., Catherine Keener, Tom Hollander, Lisa Gay Hamilton Verdict:Haven’t seen this yet but definitely on my list especially as both Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr. have received continued praise for their performances.

Fame:D dir. Kevin Tancharoen starring:Asher Book, Paul Iacono, Paul McGill, Naturi Naughton, Debbie Allen, Kelsey Grammer, Charles S Dutton, Megan Mullally, Kherington Payne Verdict:A modern remake of the 1980’s musical flick, probably best appreciated if you have never seen the original.
